We know you love your cat. You feed him/her great food and give her loving care. One day, you notice a tangle. She’s not letting you pet her. A week goes by, maybe a month and all of a sudden, your cat is matted. You try to comb it out and she growls and swipes at you. Well, maybe she can lick it out you think. You hope it disappears.
A week later, the mat is now connected to other small ones. You are too embarrassed to call your vet. You wonder, “will they will think I neglect my cat?” So, you try to cut out the mat, or worst, give your cat a bath.

Now the mat has doubled. Yes, all that tangled fur has formed near the back legs. It is now picking up urine and feces when your cat goes into the litterbox.
These mats cause irritation, more licking, and most often, lead to infection. Worst, the mats cause painful irritation and keep your kitty from moving comfortably.
This is completely preventable by rectifying the problem now – having your cat professionally groomed.
You decide to call your vet and they refer you to a professional groomer. You set up an appointment and your cat gets groomed. Your cat has turned from a smelly, greasy, matted mess, to a beautiful silky and happy girl.
